The NSB Turtle Trackers needed a website that would serve as a source of information for the community, and it was crucial that the site be easy to update so that information can be kept current.
Using WordPress as a content management system, the volunteers can easily update charts with current data on a regular basis. In addition to the informational pages, the NSB Turtle Trackers site also has an e-Commerce store where supporters can purchase t-shirts or adopt a nest online.
Since a goal of NSB Turtle Trackers is outreach, Facebook became a natural way to engage the community. In only three months, the group more than tripled their previous friends.
