Hosted by AIGA Jacksonville, Always Summer is a celebration of design excellence and Northeast Florida’s creative community. Artists of all disciplines submit a poster featuring their favorite summer song.

With lyrics like, “I wanna feel the ocean / Put on my sunset lotion,” and “The breeze is nice now / I’ll tell you right now / I sip my kool-aid / I’m feeling better now,” Sleigh Bells’ song “Kids” was a no-brainer as the perfect summer song.

Since the Kool-Aid man has no walls on the beach to bust through, he became a Charles Atlas-style villain, destroying the young couple’s sand castle in a Lichtenstein-style illustration with halftone patterns filling the fields of color.
